Inflammation Causes Dna Disruption-cancer & Heart DiseaseBy Denis Van Loan D.D.S.Except for gene defective ones, such as Sickle Cell Anemia (bleeders), all diseases are caused by inflammation. Cancer, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, Crohn's, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are the major ones most people are familiar with. Free radical damage causes oxidative damage which translates into inflammation and cellular damage at the DNA level.
"We know that most degenerative diseases are limited to free radical damage." James Balch, M.D. In 1954 Dr. Denham Harmon said this: "A single common process, modifiable by genetic and environmental factors, was responsible for ageing and death of all living things." This is more true today because of the increased assaults on your body and its genetic code. Disease is produced by inflammation and damaged DNA.
Our modern society has produced a plethora of toxic chemicals and substances that attack the mitochondria and the DNA of every cell in your body, often altering the genetic code, causing aging and pre-mature death. DNA strands are broken, but a healthy body can resist this onslaught.
The microscopic slide study of cells reveals bizarre, inconsistent, irregular, out of control, tumor cells. Most of the time, they are so changed in their appearance, they are nearly unidentifiable from the original, normal cell. The DNA code is changed and a different cell is produced.
Nearly everyone knows the term "carcinogen" is associated with cancer. A carcinogen is a chemical substance that can cause alteration of healthy cells and turns them into cells. In layman terms, the mitochondria and genetic
code of the cells get "screwed up". This spawns a misfit, rogue cell. If enough of these cells proliferate and multiply, tumors develop. Anti-oxidants help prevent this because they inhibit DNA breakdown.
There is a limit to what the body can handle in detrimental foreign substances. On a daily basis your body takes in toxins in the form of air, water, food and absorbable foreign substances.
Your body handles toxins each day, eliminating chemicals and foreign substances. Unfortunately our modern environment sometimes overwhelms your body with huge amounts of a substance that is carcinogenic…cancer causing.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) tells us, as U.S. residents, we are exposed to 80,000 toxic chemicals. These foreign substances include, but are not limited to herbicides, pesticides (4 billion lbs. in the U.S.A. each year), mercury, cadmium, aluminum, lead, solvents, asbestos, preservatives, trans fats, prescription drugs, cleaning agents, inhaled smoke and auto exhausts, cosmetics, ammonia, artificial food products and numerous biochemical pollutants.
These products cause inflammation and sometimes even genetic aberrations that produce and other diseases. When your body is overwhelmed, then disease and dysfunction prevail. Ultimately life and longevity are compromised. You lose health and life expectancy.
Your heart can wear out in spite of the fact that half of its cells can be replaced in a lifetime. When toxic chemicals break the DNA strands of heart cells, the new cells generated are already weak. Weak cells produce a weak and failing heart.Discover the truth about toxins producing degenerative, inflammatory heart disease and cancer. Numerous studies show they are hazardous to health. Colon Cancer SymptomsBy Sven UllmannCancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. In the United States, around 1000 patients die each day from complications of cancer. Approximately 2.4 million Americans are expected to be diagnosed with the dreaded disease in 2007. The exact cause of is unknown. It is only characterized by the abnormal cell division and growth. Genetics, exposure to chemicals and lifestyle are just some of the risk factors in cancer.
Colon is a particular in which the primary affected area is the colon. Many studies showed that people with colon are those who have been smoking, drinking excessively, suffers from inflammatory bowel disease and are obese. Regular colon screenings should be accomplished if you are considered to be at risk. This kinds of screenings can help you fight against any kind of colon that might decide to rear its ugly head. It's important to take care of the matter before it becomes too much of a problem.
If you are exhibiting the following colon symptoms, you should be evaluated for colorectal at once.
1. Irregular bowel movements: you could have less or more bowel movements if you have colon cancer. You can even experience constipation more often. This is because the tumor in your colon is already obstructing the regular flow of your bowel.
2. Stomach Cramps- due to bowel obstruction, you will feel stomach cramps and sometimes even bloating. As the tumor grows bigger, it could actually be perforating the bowel wall causing pain and discomfort.
3. Bloody Stool-
you might observe bleeding in your bowel. Sometimes the blood will be present in a very small amount and not be noticed. But there are also cases, where the stool is really bloody. A fecal occult blood test can confirm presence of blood in your stool.
4. Unexplained weight loss- one of the classic sign of is weight loss. If you are losing weight even if you are not trying, you should ask your doctor.
5. Fatigue- another colon symptom to look out for is unexplained tiredness. Some experts link this symptom to anemia or iron deficiency. To be sure, you should have your blood checked.
6. Nausea and vomiting- because of the tumor in your colon area, you might feel nauseous and even vomit for no apparent reason.
7. Gassy- obstruction of the colon by a tumor causes air to be trapped.
Diagnosing colon can be done in a number of ways. Your doctor could perform a digital rectal exam to check for abnormal areas in your rectum. Another way is to take endoscopic images of your colon. This is done by inserting a lighted device in you rectum and images are transmitted to a monitor. This is a very accurate test and could also differentiate between a polyp and a tumor growth.
If detected early, colon can be treated by surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The key is early diagnosis. Chances for survival are higher for people who are diagnosed at the early stages of colon cancer. This is the reason why you should be evaluated or screened by a expert especially if you are exhibiting classic colon symptoms.Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - a site dedicated to different health related articles. Signs-Of-Skin-Cancer

Breast Cancer – Causes, Symptoms And TreatmentBy User name - Peter HutchBreast is the most common cause of in women and the second most common cause of death in women in the U.S. While the majority of new breast cancers are diagnosed as a result of an abnormality seen on a mammogram, a lump or change in consistency of the breast tissue can also be a warning sign of the disease.
The disease is most commonly diagnosed in women over age 50. Very few women under age 30 develop it. Despite the rise in incidence, there has been a small drop in the number of deaths in the recent years and only about one-fifth of cases prove fatal. This reduction is due to improvements in treatment and the increased use of mammography for screening, which means that tumors can be detected early, when they often respond well to treatment.
Fibrocystic breast disease is common and usually benign condition. Symptoms include swollen, tender breasts, and/or one or more lumps. Frequently, symptoms worsen just before a woman's menstrual cycle, subsiding near the end. For the majority of women these symptoms are a temporary discomfort, however some women experience severe pain.
Causes
Age and gender - Your risk of developing breast increases as you get older. The majority of advanced breast cases are found in women over age 50. Women are 100 times more likely to get breast then men
Hereditary risk: It has long been known that women whose mothers or sisters had breast have a higher risk of developing the disease
themselves. Recently, it has been discovered that breast can develop when a woman inherits a breast susceptibility gene from one of her parents. The most common of these genes are the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. These genes account for about 10 percent of all breast cases and in families that have these genes, the risk of breast can be very high.
Family history of breast - You may also have a higher risk for breast if you have a close relative has had breast, uterine, ovarian, or colon cancer. About 20-30% of women with breast have a family history of the disease.
SymptomsThe widespread use of screening mammography has increased the number of breast cancers found before they cause any symptoms. But some are still not found early. The most common sign of breast is a new lump or mass. A lump that is painless, hard, and has uneven edges is more likely to be cancer. But sometimes cancers can be tender, soft, and rounded.
Breast discharge is a common problem and is rarely a symptom of cancer. Discharge is most concerning if it is from only one breast or if it is bloody. In any case, all breast discharge should be evaluated.
Treatment
Surgery is the mainstay of therapy for breast cancer. The choice of which type of surgery is based on a number of factors, including the size and location of the tumor, the type of tumor and the person's overall health and personal wishes. Breast-sparing surgery is often possible.Read about Hair Loss Treatment, Hair Loss Cure. Also read about Body Building Tips Guide Bodybuilding Supplements and Home Remedies Natural Home Remedy

Signs-Of-Breast-Cancer

Below, you'll find extensive information on leading signs of breast cancer articles and products to help you on your way to success.
10 Signs And Symptoms Of Colon CancerBy Christy BergerColon is a tricky disease. You can go without symptoms for many years until the disease has progressed into the later stages. However, just because this is possible does not mean you should not be on the look out for the signs and symptoms of colon cancer. Because when it is caught in time, you can completely recover from colon cancer. This is particularly why colon screening is so important. However, there are many things you can keep an eye out for as well.
Bleeding
Rectal bleeding is a major sign of colon cancer. However, bleeding can be a sign of many other conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, the consumption of certain foods or iron supplements. Make sure to eliminate the possibility of these conditions before becoming overly concerned.
Pain
If you have pain in your lower abdomen, it could be a sign of colon cancer. Again, this can also be a sign of many other conditions, so it is important to see your doctor.
Change in Bowel Movements
A change in bowel movements is always a sign that something is amiss. It could be due to a change in diet, stress or some other factors, but again, see your doctor to find out for sure. This is especially the case when you have dramatic changes such as suddenly having watery stools, frequent stools, constipation or feeling as though your bowels have not entirely emptied.
Anemia
Sometimes, a sudden onset of anemia can be a sign of colon cancer. Visit your doctor to find out the cause.
weight loss
A sudden, dramatic or unexplained weight
loss can be a sign of colon cancer. It is a somewhat rare symptom, so should definitely warrant immediate medical attention.
Abdominal Tenderness
Sometimes, the lower abdomen can be tender to the touch if you have colon cancer. It all depends on where the is located in the colon, really.
Narrow Stools
If your stool suddenly appears thin or narrow, it may be a sign of colon cancer. This is especially the case if your stools become narrow all of a sudden. Stools typically take on a narrow appearance due to an obstruction in the bowels.
Fatigue
A sudden loss of energy can be a sign of many conditions, but it can also be a sign of colon cancer. If you feel run down and unable to function, it may be a good time to head off to the doctor.
Bloating
Again, bloating can be a sign of many conditions, but it is also indicative of colon cancer. You may simply feel bloated for no reason or your abdomen may be visibly distended. In either case, it is a good idea to have the condition checked out with your physician.
Shortness of Breath
As you may have gathered by now, symptoms of colon can imitate many other conditions as well. If you feel out of breath often or feel as though you can not catch your breath, see your doctor.
So you see the common theme here? See your doctor! Symptoms of colon can be sneaky and the key to successful treatment is early diagnosis. Do not risk it. If you feel “off” and exhibit any combination of the above symptoms, let your physician know about it.This article is written by Christy Berger. Prostate Cancer – Morality Vs. ScienceBy Mary MurthaWith such widespread diseases as prostate and various other forms of cancer, there are concerns which eventually arise about the treatments and tests for such illnesses. Because such illnesses are so prevalent in developed countries, diseases like cancers and diabetes are widely studied by research institutions all over the world in hopes that there will be better cures and quicker tests to determine if someone has the illness or not. However, by developing such treatments, preventative measures and genetic tests, people fall into the problem of what constitutes morality. For illnesses like prostate cancer, morality is on the verge of being sent to the wayside in an effort to allow high risk individuals to be tested for the prostate gene long before they reach the age in which prostate will spring up within their bodies.
Perhaps the biggest debate over prostate morality is whether or not scientists should develop early screening tests for the illness in high risk patients. Due to the extremely high genetic correlation between those affected by prostate and the probability of their children getting the disease when they are older, a genetic test would be an excellent way to help people realize if they will have prostate in the future or not.
Unfortunately for the technologies which could ultimately screen for prostate cancer, morality soon enters
the debate. If people find out when they are young that they will have a high risk for prostate at age sixty or so, they may have a slightly traumatic experience growing up and feeling that they will die at around age sixty – especially if there is no cure for prostate by that time. Furthermore, they would have difficulty finding health insurance – as no self respecting insurance agency will want to insure a person who will be catching a costly disease at age sixty. These are two major concerns from a point of prostate morality.
On the opposite side of the argument, however, people who say that prostate morality should take a back seat to scientific advancement proclaim the benefits of early genetic testing. People should be aware of the status of their health. If more people were to receive blood tests to determine if they are at risk for prostate cancer, they would go get more prostate exams which would in turn lower the mortality rate for prostate cancer. After all, it is pretty difficult for those who support prostate morality to argue against less people dying.
The whole battle between prostate morality and the necessary science to help cure people will certainly turn into a raging debate in the future. Ultimately, the outcome will determine how well we handle other emerging diseases and whether or not we will do whatever it takes to combat them. For more info about Prostate Health Morality visit www.prostatehealthden.com Submitted with Article Distributor.

Prostate-Cancer-Questions-And-Answers

Prostate Cancer Treatment OptionsBy Marlon DirkProstate is a specifically male as it involves the prostate gland, which is part of the male reproductive system. The prostate gland is located between the bladder and rectum and is responsible for the production of seminal fluid. Prostate treatment options depend on how advanced the is.
Prostate is the most common in men in the United States. Prostate may cause pain, difficulty urinating and erectile dysfunction, although early prostate may cause no symptoms at all. It is most frequent in men of fifty and is most often diagnosed in men in their seventies.
Diagnosis is through a physical examination or by blood tests. One of these blood tests is called the PSA test. PSA stands for prostate specific antigen, and it is this antigen that they are looking for in the blood. A confirmed case of prostate will be confirmed by taking a biopsy.
If the is contained within the prostate gland then there are two treatment options. The can be treated with radiation therapy, which is the use of x-rays to kill cells. The can also be removed by surgery called radical prostatectomy.
A radical prostatectomy involves the removal of the entire prostate gland and usually the nearby lymph nodes, under general anaesthesia. The lymph nodes are then checked to see if the has spread, known as metastasizing. There is a risk with prostate
of it metastasizing to other parts of the body, especially to the bones and the lymph nodes.
With both types of treatment there is a chance that the will reoccur, however incidence of reoccurrence are less with the radical prostatectomy than with the radiation therapy. Careful consideration to the benefits and side effects of both treatments must be given so that you get the best treatment option for you.
If the has metastasized beyond the prostate gland then hormone treatment can be given. Male hormones, called androgens, can be associated with accelerated growth of the tumor. Therefore if hormones are restricted the growth of the tumor can be slowed down. Androgens such as testosterone are produced in the testicles, so the testicles are sometimes removed as part of hormone treatment.
The final treatment for prostate is called ‘watchful waiting’. This involves regular check ups and monitoring by your doctor to keep a check on the tumor’s growth. Your doctor will perform a physical examination and take blood tests, such as the PSA test.
With all types of treatment for prostate the patient will need to weigh up the pros and cons and discuss the side effects of the different treatments with his doctor. A decision can then be taken on which course of treatment to take, or whether to undertake a period of ‘watchful waiting’ before deciding which of the prostate treatment options to follow.Prostate cancer is one of the leading health problems of man today especially when he reaches the over-the-hill age. Prostate-Cancer

Below, you'll find extensive information on leading prostate cancer articles and products to help you on your way to success.
Breast Cancer - Diagnostic Studies And ProceduresBy FranchisBreast is the most common malignancy in women, and second only to lung in female mortality. Presently, about one in nine American women develops this disease at some time in her life, compared to one in 17 in 1950. Experts are uncertain whether this represents a true rise in the incidence of breast or improved detection of it due to mam mography and better public awareness. The risk of breast increases with age, especially after menopause. Risk is also higher among women who had their first child after age 30 or never had children; already have had in one breast, had an early first menstrual period or a late menopause; or have a close relative, such as a sister or mother, who was diagnosed with breast before menopause. Some studies have linked a high-fat diet to an increased risk of breast cancer, but others have shown otherwise. specialists emphasize that about 70 percent of all cases of breast arise in women with none of the above risk factors. In rare instances, men also develop breast cancer, accounting for less than five percent of occurrences.
Diagnostic Studies And Procedures
Early detection is the single most important factor in surviving breast cancer, because early, localized malignancies are more than 90 percent curable. The American Society (ACS) recommends that all women age 20 or older perform a monthly self examination of their breasts . Although more than 80 percent of the lumps found by women during self examination are benign, women initially discover more than 85 percent of all breast cancers. Breast examination by a physician is recommended every three years between the ages of 20 and 40 and annually thereafter. The age at which a woman should begin regular screening with mammography remains controversial. Present guidelines from the National Institute recommend starting annual mammography at age 50, but many experts advocate beginning at age 40. There is no doubt, however, that mammography is the most effective means
of early breast detection in women over 50 because it can locate suspicious areas of calcification, a common sign of cancer, long before a tumor is large enough to be felt by a woman or her doctors. Mammography is not as effective in younger women because they have denser, lumpier breasts, making it harder to discern normal from abnormal tissue. Mammography should be scheduled for the week after menstruation, when breasts are unlikely to be swollen and painful. To help assure an accurate mammogram and avoid repeats, no deodorant, powder, cream, or other substance should be applied to breasts or the underarm area that day because they can cause misleading results.
If any suspicious areas are found by mammography or physical examination, a biopsy is necessary to rule out cancer. In most cases, a doctor will attempt to obtain a tissue sample by aspiration, a procedure in which a hollow needle is inserted into the lump. If fluid can be withdrawn, it will be analyzed for malignant cells, but such lumps, especially those that disappear after aspiration, are usually harmless cysts. If a lump returns rapidly, no fluid can be withdrawn, or malignant cells are detected in the fluid, another biopsy is necessary. Again, this may be done by needle. With a new procedure called stereotaxic needle aspiration, a special X-ray scanning technique is used during aspiration to locate suspicious areas too small to be felt. In some cases, a surgical biopsy is necessary. This may be excisional, in which the entire mass is removed, or incisional, in which only part of the lump is taken out. A pathologist will then determine whether the tissue is cancerous, and if so, what kind of it is. Cells from a cancerous lump will also be tested to determine if they are stimulated by estrogen or proges terone, a finding that may influence the choice of anticancer drugs. If breast is diagnosed, additional tests are needed to find out if it has metastasized to other parts of the body. These may include a bone scan, X-rays, and sampling of lymph nodes.Discover where to get free home remedies for health care. With these natural remedies you can cure your common ailments.

When you find out your have prostate cancer, you want to make sure that you get the right treatment for the type of you have. In order to do this, you will need to work with your doctor and understand your options for the latest treatment on prostate cancer.

There are several options you have when it comes to find the right treatment. Some possibilities range from the “watchful waiting” all the way to the most radical—removing the testes. It is important to understand that there are side effects to all prostate treatment and some forms of treatment work better for some men than other. This is often the best option for early stages of tumors and prostate cancer.• Brachytherapy: This is one of the latest treatment on prostate options. This is also a minimally invasive way to treat prostate cancer. Untold Benefits Of Colon Cancer Treatment CentersBy Don Pedro
One could argue that breast is more dangerous than colon cancer. The reason is simple; colon is not as loud, yet it kills a lot of people too every year. The sooner you are aware of it, the better off you are. It's important to spend time to learn as much as you can about colon so that you can do what's needed to do to prevent falling a victim. The second most common cause of death in the UK is colon cancer, that is among other types of cancers. Lung kills more people, yes, but colon is absolutely worthy of note when talking about cancers that kill lots of people. It's death toll goes into the tens of thousands each year.No one likes to get their backside inspected, but it is what you are going to have to put up with when you are suspected of having a colon cancer. It's got a fancy name too - colonoscopy; making it sound all medical and sophisticated. But really, all it is is a doctor probing your behind with a er, probe thing.Colon requires a colonoscopy to diagnose. After diagnosis, you usually need a bit of surgery to remove the primary tumor in your bowel. It doesn't end here, though; typically you have to endure some chemotherapy
too, to rid you of the chances of the disease spreading,Cancer of the colon is almost a natural result of polyps in the intestinal region. You can avoid it if you are the careful type. Go for checkups as often as you can. This way, a doctor can discern them early enough and help you get rid of them. If you are not the careful type, then you are done in already.Colon cancer, like other types of cancers, is curable if diagnosed early. This means that you have to catch it before the has had the opportunity to spread beyond your intestines. If you fail at this, you certainly cannot be blaming anyone else for your misfortunes. It's worth repeating here that early detection is the key to surviving colon cancer. You can contract a large bowel more easily the older you grow. As such, my advice is that you begin to go for more regular checkups all the time. You want to catch the syndrome early enough to cure it before it becomes malignant. It is easy to assume that colon is not as rampant in Canada as in the United States because the recorded figures are not as much. This would be inaccurate though, because the US does have a larger population, hence the larger numbers. It matters not how much you feel you are aware regarding Colon Cancer information like articles about Colon Cancer Data Signs Of , and also Colon Cancer Treatment Slovenia , visit Don Pedro's site to be amazed at really necessary information at www.healcoloncancer.com

A Little About Prostate CancerBy Steve Miers -Prostate affects an estimated one out of every six males. Therefore it's understandable that most men want to know at least something about prostate cancer, especially as they are approaching their 40s. This article is going to touch on some of the symptoms and treatments, as well as some of the side effects that come from prostate and prostate treatment. This article is not intended to be a substitution for your doctor's advice, so make sure that you seek a professional opinion if you feel that you may have prostate cancer.
One thing that's important to note is that you may not suffer any symptoms at all. That is why it's very important to be checked for prostate frequently, and especially more so as you get older because they can find the prostate before any symptoms show up at all in most cases. Some men that have prostate may experience
some of the following symptoms. Frequent or difficult urination, as well as a weak urine flow, erectile dysfunction as well as painful ejaculation and blood in the urine or semen.
There are many different treatment options for prostate and you will want to discuss these with your doctor or healthcare professional before any decision is made. A few of the choices are active surveillance, radiation or hormone therapy, chemotherapy or surgery. There are also other choices and as I said before you should discuss these with your doctor.
One of the best things that you can do for your prostate is to make sure you take care of it in the first place. This may reduce your risk of prostate cancer. Just knowing some simple things such as taking vitamin E, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and being informed about eating fats and red meat can reduce your risk of prostate cancer.Steve writes informative articles and is the webmaster at prosate cancer and abestosis

Can Regular Antidepressants Keep Colon Cancer Away?By Groshan FabiolaA new study shows that a type of antidepressant could decrease the risk of developing colorectal cancer. Still, people with high risk shouldn't start taking them yet. People should wait until solid evidence that this is true will be revealed and just after that they should go to a doctor and ask for the right medicine.
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, an antidepresant, seems to stop or at least reduce the growth of the cancerous cells, this way inhibiting the development of the colon cancer. Experts recommend to avoid taking these drugs for their cancer-preventing properties because the were no solid proofs that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors really stops cancer.
An older test conducted on a group of almost 17,000 people, from which 3500 were diagnosed with colon showed that people who used selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors daily for at least five years earlier had a lower colorectal risk rate. The researchers concluded that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors decreases the risk of colon by stopping the evolution of
the tumor cells.
There still are experts that don't agree with this study saying that it is inconclusive, mainly because most of the colorectal risk factors, factors like obesity, smoking, lack of exercise and so on, are causes for depression to. Their main argument is that if you get rid of the depression and start having a healthy life then the risk of colon is reduced.
But both sides agree on a simple thing: further studies are required to elucidate the role played by selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors in the prevention of colorectal cancer. Besides, antidepressants are know for creating addiction and a large field of health problems. Surely they are not as worse as colon but if they aren't controlled those problems will become even worse.
Most physicians don't yet agree on prescribing selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors against colorectal cancer. There aren't yet any concludent proves to support the use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and the physicians are well aware of the risks imposed by the excessive use of antidepressants. For more resource on different colon cancer subjects please click this link www.colon-cancer-center.com. Mouth-Cancer

Fight Breast Cancer With Calcium D-glucarate And Other Nutritional SupplementsBy Darrell Miller-1603Most likely, there is nothing more frightening for a woman than the discovery of a lump in her breast. Her mind is quickly flooded with and all of its consequences. Most women have a friend, a sister, or a coworker who has been diagnosed with the disease and know how difficult dealing with it can be. Fortunately, 80% of all breast lumps are not cancer, as most are cysts or a benign clump of tissue. From puberty on, a woman’s breasts undergo many changes. Because of these continual changes, breast tissue requires adequate nutrition. Although everyone benefits from a healthy diet, there are additional nutrients which can specifically benefit women including B vitamins, calcium D-glucarate, broccoli extract, green tea, maitake mushrooms, and iodine.
Because scientists can learn a lot about diseases from simply observing it, they have learned that certain cultures have a very low incidence of breast cancer, among these being China and Japan. As compared to women in America, Canada, and parts of Europe, the Asian cultures have a much lower breast rate and it seems likely that something in their diet could be protecting these women from the disease. As Asian women adopt a western diet their breast rates climb. It has also been recognized that certain types of vegetables play a large role in the prevention of all types of disease, including cancer. Based on this, scientists have carried out many studies to determine what it is about these nutrients that can prevent breast cancer.
Deficiencies in vitamin B12 can result in a serious type of anemia, as well as nerve damage, and is now being researched to see if these deficiencies can also, in part, cause breast cancer. A scientific study proved that women who had the lowest levels of B12 in their blood had the highest rates of breast cancer. Another study discovered that when B12 was applied directly to cells, it actually stopped cells from growing. The researchers conducting this experiment believe that giving B12 to women with breast as a part of a chemotherapy regime might help to keep in check.
Similarly, low folic acid intake is linked to the development of all cancers because folic acid is crucial to the making and continual repair of DNA. A recent study discovered that high intakes of folic may actually reduce the risk of breast cancer, as women who eat lots of foods that contain folic acid have much lower rates of breast cancer. Although there is no clear-cut, single cause of breast cancer, many factors are required for the disease to appear, including estrogen. Studies have shown that women who have higher levels of estrogen tend to develop breast more often. This means that women who got the periods before age eleven or entered menopause after the age of fifty-five have a higher risk of breast cancer. Another factor affecting breast is the consumption of alcohol. Since alcohol raises estrogen levels, a woman who consumes even moderate amounts of alcohol increases her risk of breast cancer. However a recent study has shown that folic acid can overtake this link between alcohol consumption and breast as those women who drink one alcoholic drink a day and have high levels of folic acid have the same rate of breast as those women with high folic acid intakes who did not drink.
While women need estrogen to soften skin, thicken hair, and fill out hips and breasts, estrogen can also nourish breast tumors and help them to grow bigger, stronger, and more deadly. Thanks to good nutrition, American women get their periods early and go through menopause later in life. Today, women also have fewer pregnancies, with
the average number of children being one or two. Each of these factors increases the time in which women’s bodies are exposed to estrogen, meaning increased opportunities for estrogen to cause trouble. We are also continuously exposed to cancer-causing chemicals and toxins, coming from contaminants in the food we eat and pollutants in the air we breathe. Although the body does have a system that eliminates some of the excess estrogen and toxic chemicals before they cause harm, an enzyme called beta-glucuronidase can interrupt the excretion process, allowing the hormone or toxin to continue to cause harm. Fortunately, scientists have discovered a natural substance found in foods, calcium d-glucarate (CDG), which can stop the activity of beta-glucuronidase. CDG, which is found in fruits and vegetables, has been shown in experimental studies to significantly slow breast growth. There are also many other trials currently underway studying its ability to decrease the breast risk in women at high risk for the disease.
Iodine, which is the trace element in a hormone found in the thyroid gland and is involved in several metabolic functions, functions as a protection of breast tissue from cancerous cells. A study exposing breast cells and breast tissue without any to a type of seaweed containing high amounts of iodine concluded that the seaweed killed all of the cancerous cells and did not harm the normal breast cells. Researchers believe that it is because many Japanese women eat this kind of seaweed, containing great amounts of iodine, that they have very low rates of breast cancer.
For a great deal of time, cruciferous vegetables including broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower, have been observed by scientists for their ability to reduce the risk of diseases including cancer. It appears that the phytochemical sulforaphane, found in broccoli, is one of the chemicals responsible for this beneficial ability. Sulforaphane increases certain enzymes in the body called phase 2 enzymes, which deactivate cancer-causing chemicals. When breast cells were exposed to sulforaphane in a lab experiment, the compound inhibited the growth of the cells up to eighty percent.
There is a good amount of research that has concluded that green tea beverage consumption is associated with a lower incidence of breast cancer. Researchers have long noted the low rates of breast in Japan, where green tea is consumed at great amounts. The active compound found in green tea that is responsible for breast inhibition is EGCG, which stops the cells from growing, causes them to lose their ability to replicate, and die.
For many years, maitake mushrooms have been linked to good health in all that eat them, partly because they contain an important compound called D-fraction. D-fraction not only stops the growth of cancerous tumors, but it also alerts and stimulates immune cells to fight the disease. Due to its success, maitake is now being used in clinical trials of women with breast cancer, improving many symptoms including reduction of the tumor.
These nutrients should not be used in place of traditional treatment for breast cancer, as none of these nutrients can cure breast cancer. However, they can be a part of plan of treatment. If you have breast cancer, talk to your healthcare practitioner about these nutrients and remember that nutritional supplements are supplements to your food, medication, and treatment, to enhance and prevent, not a replacement. Supplements like B vitamins, calcium D-glucarate, broccoli extract, green tea, maitake mushrooms, and iodine can be found at your local or internet health food store.Visit VitaNet Health Foods, VitaNet sells high quality herbs like Source Naturals Calcium D-glucarate to help fight cancer.
Every man should have more than enough information about this predicament and what the best remedies are for it and here at www.a1prostatecancertips.com

Get To Know What Is CancerBy Ken CharnlyAll over the world, is known to be as one of the most deadly disease ever to have affected the human race. Most of the medical researchers all over the world, consider to be a “metabolic disease”. Metabolic diseases are those diseases, which are known to affect the metabolism rate of the human body. As already said, we know that has been concluded as to be a “metabolic disease” and that conclusion has been drawn from the fact that, as a disease affects the human cells in the body.
Cells are microscopic living units in the body, which together form all living organs in the body. At any given time or state, the human body is made up of a billion cells, which together constitute the human organs. as a disease is considered to be a very deadly disease, just because of the fact that the disease affects the human cells. In cancer, abnormal and unusual cells crop up in the human body and they grow and spread in the human body at an alarming and fast rate. The abnormal cells grow and star spreading at a very fast rate.
Usually, the normal cells divide and grow up to a certain level and then they die after a little time, unlike the unusual cells which do not follow the normal rate of growth and division. The cells keep on dividing and continue growing on unlike the usual cells. The cells unlike the usual cells
do not die and start getting clumped together, which in turn forms a tumor.
It is said that actually is a stage in the body when the cells turn, “trophoblastic”. Trophoblastic is a situation in the human body, when the cells in the human body tend to multiply at a faster rate than the normal. This stage can be explained for example, when a human body gets an external or internal injury, then the cells of the human body start the healing process, by starting to multiply.
In case, the cells are in a trophoblastic stage, then although the cells start healing, but they don’t stop multiplying, thereby causing a lump. This in medical term is also called as a tumor. This lump goes numb even if the body controls the growth of the trophoblastic cells and proves to be highly injurious if the cells keep spreading. The removal of such tumor would rather lead to the uncontrolled growth of those trophoblastic cells, because of more effected sited due to the operation, and thus result in increasing the cancer.
The known medical treatments for are radiation therapy and chemotherapy. But neither radiation therapy is effective due to the reason it creates more wounded parts and thus increases the cells, nor chemotherapy is effective because it adversely effects the immune system of the body and the body holds no-more ability of natural healing.Ken Charnly is a personal finance publisher whose website Online Loans is dedicated to quality information on online loans.
A Look At Skin Cancer TreatmentsBy Donald SaundersIf you have been told that you have skin you could well be unsure about the treatment you will receive as, even if you have already had your treatment options explained to you in detail by your doctor, you might still be confused by all the technical and medical jargon that was used. You might not have been able to take in the information because of the shock following the diagnosis.
Here therefore is a brief description of a few of the treatments which are commonly used when treating skin cancer.
The specific type of treatment you will receive will depend upon a variety of different factors including such things as your age and whether or not your has spread to other parts of your body.
Your treatment could consist of surgery in which the surgeon could decide to remove the cancerous region itself together with some of the surrounding skin. Precisely how much health skin should be surgically removed will depend on the specific form of found and how deep that is. Usually an area of approximately one or two centimeters of surrounding skin will be removed.
Some forms of skin can be treated by freezing using liquid nitrogen or treated with drugs like Imiquimod which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the use on superficial basal cell carcinoma.
More extensive surgery might be necessary where a sentinel lymph node
shows cells after a biopsy of any suspect area. This type of surgery removes lymph nodes close to the along with affected skin and is frequently followed by radiotherapy.
Another recent development for skin treatment is what is referred to as immunotherapy vaccination although research into this particular form of treatment is still being conducted and it is not yet widely available. Chemotherapy could also be recommended if your has spread into other areas.
There is no definitive form of prevention for skin but there are various things that you can do to minimize your chance of developing the problem and the most important and often disregarded is to reduce your skin's exposure to the sun.
Everyone, no matter what the color or type of skin you have should use a sunscreen that has a protection factor of at least 15. It is also a good idea to wear sufficient clothing and remain out of the sun as much as you can, particularly between the hours of 11am and 3pm when the sun’s rays are at their strongest. By the same token, it is not advisable to use sunlamps and sun beds as these too produce harmful rays.
Finally, keep an eye on your skin and pay particular attention to any alterations to moles and lesions. If you notice any changes then you should see your doctor as soon as possible so that you can be treated while the problem is at an early stageYourCancerQuestions.com provides answers to not just your questions about skin cancer but to cancer questions on a wide range of topics including lung, bladder, stomach, prostate cancer and much more.

How To Get Cancer Life InsuranceBy Robert FosterGetting life insurance if you have is undeniably challenging but it is not impossible. Your probability of getting coverage depends, to a large extent, on the type, grade, and stage of the disease. The treatment plan also plays a big role because it determines the curability of the cancer. For example, certain types of illnesses like skin is considered as a very low-risk condition by most life insurance companies. In fact, they consider it so inconsequential that skin history might not even have an effect on premiums.
Meanwhile, patients with treatable types of prostate and breast might still fall under the “standard” category. However, the best scenario for high-risk diseases such as colon and leukemia is that it will fall into the “high substandard” category. Some patients will also be declined depending on the life insurance company. Individuals whose has metastasized have a very slim chance of getting coverage.
Majority of Life Insurance companies do not want to provide a policy for people still undergoing treatment. And depending on the type of condition involved, life insurers might also ask for a “temporary flat” or a surcharge to your plan. These premiums might be expensive but it will also disappear over time, usually between two to five years.

include finding life insurance policies. These brokers are familiar with the various policy requirements of different companies.

Make sure that the broker you get has a license and then check the financial stability of the company before you buy the policy.
Tips to Get Life Insurance Coverage It is important to get all appropriate medical files before you apply for the policy. Everything from the treatment record to the first pathology result should be compiled. This will help the underwriter get a complete picture of your health and history. Likewise, it will significantly reduce delays in the process because the underwriter will ask for these records from you anyway.
It is also a good idea to get a checkup prior to your life insurance application. If you haven’t been back for a year, then the insurer is not likely to give you a policy without seeing the state of your health at the time you apply.I am a 32 year old guy living with my girlfriend of three years in Sydney. I am currently employed as Human resource manager in one of the banks (won’t mention which, he he). I love surfing, going out to the movies or just hanging out with my girl or friends.
